Students will calculate groups of coins or notes with the same value and compare money amounts. They will also regroup pence for pound amounts. Students will calculate groups of money by playing a game called Money Mania.

Students will apply their knowledge of decimals, money and addition to add money amounts when adopting a pet and shopping for pet related items.

Students will apply their subtraction and money knowledge to estimate water slides’ cost and make change.

Students will consolidate their knowledge of using money with a game, called Boom or Bust, that involves gaining and losing money.

This is a summative assessment that covers the key objectives from this time unit.
