Lesson 7: Time Assessment

This is a summative assessment that covers the key objectives from this time unit.
Lesson 6: Calculating elapsed time

Students will use their new time knowledge and skills to calculate the duration of events and elapsed time scenarios.
Lesson 5: Exploring days, weeks and months

Students will explore the connections between days, weeks and months and convert between the units of time. They will investigate these connections by playing a game called Earth Battle.
Lesson 4: Exploring seconds, minutes, hours

Students will explore seconds, minutes and hours and learn to convert between the units of time. They will play a memory game, whilst exploring these time concepts.
Lesson 3: Reading 24 hour time

Students will learn the difference between am and pm and use their knowledge to read 12 and 24 hour time. They will play a time Bingo game with 12 and 24 hour times.
Lesson 2: Creating and using time (to the nearest minute)

Students will create and use time, practicing to the nearest 5 or 1 minute depending on their learning zone. They will read different time descriptions and draw the corresponding time on an analogue clock based on the details provided.
Lesson 1: Reading Time (quarter and half time)

Students will explore reading 12 hour time using both analogue and digital clocks. This lesson will cover reading time using quarter, half hour and O’clock times. Students will find matching time cards.
