Lesson 1: Introduction to money (coins)

Students will identify different coins in circulation in the UK and work with money in decimal form when creating different coin combinations. They will use coin combinations to make the totals shown on different piggy banks.

This is a summative assessment that covers the key objectives from this U.S. money unit.

Lesson 5: Adding and subtracting money

Students will consolidate their knowledge of using money with a game, called Boom or Bust, that involves gaining and losing money.

Lesson 4: Making estimations and subtracting money

Students will apply their subtraction and money knowledge to estimate water slides’ cost and make change.
