Lesson 1: Let’s multiply using different strategies

Students will recap multiplication and discuss, share and explore their different strategies for solving multiplication facts. They will play a game called Space Race to practice their strategies.
Lesson 1: Let’s multiply by multiples of 10 and 100

Students will multiply numbers by multiples of 10 and 100 (for example, 30 x 4 or 400 x 5 etc.). Students will develop strategies to break up the number sentences into more manageable parts. They will practice their strategies by playing a game called Trophy Target.
