Lesson 1: Identifying and measuring angles

Students will identify and measure angles using a protractor. They will play a game called Angle Snap.
Lesson 6: Using compensation strategy to add decimals

Compensation strategy involves rounding one number to make the number sentence easier to add. The amount rounded is then either added or subtracted afterwards to compensate. Students will use compensation strategy to add decimals and find the winner of the Swim Fest competition.
Lesson 14: US Measurement Assessment

This is a summative assessment that covers the key objectives from this measurement unit.
Lesson 5: Using split strategy to subtract tenths

Students will apply split strategy to subtract decimals that include tenths while playing a game called Race To Nothing.
Lesson 13: Metric Olympics

Students will recap and apply the different units of measurement that they have explored during this unit. They will take part in the ‘Metric Olympics’.
Lesson 12: Applying understanding of volume

This lesson involves building a cuboid robot and calculating its total volume.
Lesson 4: Using split strategy to add decimals

Students will apply their split strategy knowledge to add decimal amounts and problem-solve. Students will use the strategy to help animals choose what to pack based on their suitcase weight limit.
Lesson 11: Exploring volume

Students will investigate how to find the volume of cuboids using blocks and calculations.
Lesson 10: Metric measurement problem-solving

Students will use their measurement knowledge to solve a range of problem-solving puzzles.
Lesson 3: Applying bump strategy in a game

Students will apply their knowledge of bump strategy addition and subtraction while playing a game called Stock Market Mania.
