Lesson 11: Estimating and budgeting

Students will use their rounding and estimating skills to budget and plan the ultimate room.
Lesson 10: Adding and subtracting decimals in a game

Students will play a game of chance, called Money Bags, in which they will earn and lose money. They will use a variety of strategies, such as jump, split, compensation and column method to add and subtract.
Lesson 6: Investigating circle vocabulary connections

Students will explore circumference, diameter and radius and use string to measure parts of a circle.
Lesson 9: Using column method to subtract decimals

Through place value blocks, students will gain a conceptual understanding of how decimals are regrouped when subtracting using column method. They will then use this knowledge to subtract different amounts of time.
Lesson 8: Using column method to add decimals

Students will gain a conceptual understanding of adding decimals up to hundredths using column method to help find the musicians’ earnings.
Lesson 5: Identifying missing angles

Students will apply their angle knowledge to identify missing angles in triangles and quadrilaterals in a shape mural.
Lesson 4: Exploring quadrilaterals

Students will identify properties of different quadrilaterals and explore interior angles.
Lesson 3: Classifying triangles and measuring their angles

Students will identify triangles, describe their properties and measure their angles.
Lesson 2: Calculating angles

Students will continue to measure angles and learn how to use angle measurements to find unknown angles without measuring. They will solve angle measurement challenge cards.
Lesson 7: Using compensation strategy to subtract decimals

Students will use their knowledge of compensation strategy to subtract whilst playing a game called Bagsie.
