Students will apply their knowledge of simplifying fractions to play a space-themed fraction game called Planet Protection.
Lesson 3: Simplifying fractions

Students will learn how to simplify fractions using the greatest common factor. They will complete an activity that involves solving clues to identify Fraction Phil’s true identity.
Lesson 2: Creating equivalent fractions

Students will explore equivalent fractions using fraction walls and multiplication. They will use their new skills to play a game called Crazy Cupcakes.
