Lesson 5: Adding and subtracting money
Students will consolidate their knowledge of using money with a game, called Boom or Bust, that involves gaining and losing money from their piggy bank.
Lesson 4: Subtracting money
Students will apply their subtraction and money knowledge to subtract money and problem-solve. They will use these skills to ‘go shopping’ at a market.
Lesson 3: Adding money
Students will apply their knowledge of money and addition to add money amounts to create their own aquarium.
Lesson 2: Converting dollars and cents
Students will explore and calculate using dollars and cents and convert when necessary. They will practice using dollars and cents by making a money train with lineup cards.

Students will explore the different types of coins in circulation in the U.S. and use their knowledge to make certain amounts of money using different coins.
